This policy explains how I, Yee Yin Sinn, handle personal data collected through yinsinn.com. I’m an individual based in Malaysia, and I decide how and why this data is used.

I handle personal data in line with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010. If you’re in Singapore, I also follow Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012. If you’re in the European Union or the United Kingdom, see “Visitors from the EU and UK” below.
When you send an enquiry, the form asks for your name, work email, company, the service you want and your message. You can also add event details, such as the date, location and audience size.
If you email me or message me on WhatsApp, I receive what you send, plus your email address or phone number.
When you visit, the server and the security service in front of it record technical data. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open and the time of your visit. It keeps the site running and protects it from attacks and spam.
Some cookies are also used. The Cookie Policy explains each one.
I don’t sell your data. I won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without asking first.
I keep enquiry data as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting engagement, then delete it. If the law requires me to keep certain records longer, such as invoices, I keep only those, and only for as long as required.
Technical logs are kept by my hosting and security providers for the period they set.

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3. It sends Google information about your device and how you use the page. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Embedded videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube says views in this mode won’t personalise your YouTube experience or the ads you see elsewhere. Both services load only if you allow functional cookies in the cookie banner.
If you tap the WhatsApp button, you leave this site and open WhatsApp. Your phone number and message reach me there, and WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy applies.
Typefaces may be served from my own server. When they are, loading a page sends nothing to a font provider. Videos I host on this site play from the same server, with no third party involved.
There is no analytics on this site at the moment. If I enable analytics in the future, it will only run with your consent, and you’ll control it through the cookie banner. I’ll update this policy first.
I’m based in Malaysia, but some of the services above store or process data in other countries. These include Singapore, the European Union and the United States. I only use established providers that commit to protecting personal data.
You can ask me to do any of these things.

If the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to you, my legal bases are the ones listed above. They are consent, steps before a contract, the contract itself and legitimate interest. You also have the right to object, to restrict processing and to data portability. You can complain to your local data protection authority.
I protect your data with encrypted connections, restricted admin access and a security service in front of the site. No website is completely secure. Please don’t send sensitive details, such as health or ID information, through the form.
This site is for organisations and event organisers. It isn’t aimed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent me data, email me and I’ll delete it.
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top always shows the current version.
